Samsung: from P2050 to XL2370
Generally speaking of the entire Samsung Topaz series all models made a very good impression on us: nice appearance, good ergonomics and accurate – at least if judged today – adjustment make them a pretty good choice as universal home monitors. Most attention of course should be paid to 21.5 and 23-inch models with FullHD resolution of 1920×1080: they are comfortable for work, games and movies. At the same time the 20-inch models are to be regarded as more of budget solutions — their rather weird resolution of 1600×900 will satisfy only gaming requirements while movies or even regular work will need better parameters (just try to open two documents side by side on monitors with 1600×900 and 1920×1080 resolutions and you will perceive the difference). Whereas the price difference between let’s say P2050 and P2250 models is about RUR1500 at the time of publication. In our opinion this kind of saving is not justified at all if you choose a monitor to serve some 3-5 years or even more. Samsung display drivers.
